Sellers “Selle” Terrell (she/her), M.S., NCC LPC (AL) | LPC-MHSP (TN) | LMHC (FL)

Selle believes that people are inherently relational and that healing often happens through connection, support, increased self-understanding, and meaningful change. Her counseling style is holistic, person-centered, trauma-informed, and individualized, drawing from cognitive, behavioral, interpersonal, and somatic approaches based on each client’s unique needs and goals.

She is especially interested in the mind-body connection and the ways stress, trauma, and emotion can show up physically. In therapy, Selle helps clients identify distressing patterns, better understand themselves, and develop practical tools for healthier emotional, relational, and day-to-day functioning.

Selle describes her style as warm but direct, honest, appropriately challenging, respectful, relatable, and humorous when appropriate. She works with adults ages 19 and older and is particularly passionate about identity-affirming care for LGBTQ+ clients, BIPOC clients, and adults who have discovered or been diagnosed with neurodivergence later in life. She also welcomes nonreligious and secular clients, as well as individuals exploring spirituality outside of traditional religious frameworks.

Her clinical experience spans multiple levels of behavioral healthcare and a broad range of ages, identities, and mental health concerns. Selle earned her M.S. in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Troy University and her B.S.W. from the University of Kansas. She also holds a post-graduate certificate in Nutrition for Community Health from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Her training and interests include CBT, DBT skills, complex trauma, somatic approaches, and identity-affirming care.

Outside of work, Selle enjoys indie films and psychological thrillers, art and writing, spending time with her cats and dogs, hiking and swimming with her spouse, yoga, meditation, and plenty of list-making.
