Coverage varies by provider and plan. Use the information below to confirm your options.
Insurance
Our therapists are all credentialed to accept BCBS. We also accept other major insurance plans, but since credentialing with an insurance provider is individualized and specific to the therapist, it is important to confirm with your therapist and insurance provider that your insurance plan is accepted. Insurance coverage and policies can vary widely.
To confirm whether your chosen provider is credentialed with your insurance, visit our Meet Our Team page and click View Profile for your selected provider. You’ll find the accepted insurance plans listed under the Insurance Accepted heading.
Some plans require prior authorization and/or a referral. If your insurance does not cover your session, you will be responsible for the remaining balance. Iron City Counseling requires that intake appointments are scheduled at least 24 hours out so that we can verify and communicate your benefits prior to your session. This is a courtesy, and insurance plans are misquoted. It is your responsibility to check with your insurance provider to verify your benefits.
Private Pay
Each provider has their own private pay rate.
To confirm the private pay rate for sessions with your chosen provider, visit our Meet Our Team page and click View Profile for your selected provider. You’ll find the rate listed under the Private Pay Rate heading.
Medicare Opt-Out Policy
Iron City Counseling has opted out of contracting with Medicare. If you choose to receive services at ICC and you have Medicare, you must sign a private contract before treatment begins. This private contract states:
You understand that your therapist has opted out of Medicare.
You accept full responsibility for payment to the therapist.
You understand that Medicare limits do not apply to what the therapist may charge for services.
You agree not to submit claims to Medicare or ask your therapist to submit claims to Medicare.
You understand that you have the right to seek treatment from another therapist who has not opted out of Medicare. Choosing to receive services at ICC requires entering into this private contract.
You understand that Medigap plans do not pay for items and services not covered by Medicare, and that other supplemental plans may choose not to cover these services.
You agree that this contract was not entered into during a time when you required emergency care services or urgent care services.
You understand that your therapist has opted out of Medicare.

Cancellation Policy
Appointments must be canceled at least 48 business hours in advance to avoid a cancellation fee.
